Auxier Gas Hosts Customer Appreciation, Fundraising Event
Cause Marketing
Auxier Gas hosted a customer appreciation Homecoming Event at its Batavia, Ohio headquarters on September 20th with free refreshments and assorted games and activities for people of all ages. An on-site raffle gave attendees a chance to return home with a new $500 Broilmaster Grill, with proceeds supporting Auxier's long-standing charitable partner, the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Auxier Gas Think Pink Grillers also made their debut at the Homecoming celebration. The new philanthropic barbecue team, which hauls large portable gas grills that connect to Auxier's famous pink delivery truck, was created to raise awareness for the company's ongoing efforts to support early detection, awareness and research of breast cancer.
We thought a celebration event would be a great way to say thanks to our customers and to initiate our fall charitable efforts, said President Doug Auxier. We're eager to expand our philanthropic endeavors and get our customers and the entire community more involved and excited about this worthy cause.
Additionally, giving back to the community is good for business. In a 2007 study, 90.7% of consumers say it's important for companies to support causes and charities. Additionally, 72% of consumers said they have purchased a brand because it supports a cause that they believe in. Source: 2007 PR Week/ Barkley Cause Survey.
The Homecoming festivities kick off a full schedule of fall charitable efforts for the Think Pink Grillers. The barbecue team was created as an extension of the iconic pink delivery truck, and they will be participating in several local community events this fall, including the Taste of Clermont and the Clermont County Pumpkin Run.
The pink delivery truck was created in early Spring 2008 to create awareness and interest of Auxier's commitment to breast cancer research. So far, it has delivered nearly 70,000 gallons of propane across the Tri-State, and Auxier has donated a portion of those sales to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
